- According to official Intel G31 chipset spec, the chip supports CPU of FSB 1066MHz at maximum by default. However, MSI G31M-F will be able to operate at FSB 1333MHz (Core 2 Duo CPUs) by adjusting the CPU FSB frequency in the BIOS (Over-clocking)
- Enter BIOS setup menu and go to [Frequency/Voltage Control] --> [Adjust CPU FSB Frequency]. There you can adjust the value to [1333] for the Core 2 Duo E6540/E6550/E6600/E6750 CPUs. Please be noted that this is over-spec, and this overclocking behavior is not recommended.
